In the world of plant collecting, the word Unicorn has become a playful slang for those rare and highly desirable plants that capture everyones attention for a moment in time. Today it might be a variegated monstera, tomorrow a silver-splashed hoya or a spiny dyckia hybrid. The Unicorn never stays stillit shifts with trends, demand, and the changing tides of taste. Yet the deeper truth is that not every Unicorn needs to be chased. Sometimes the real Unicorn is the one already with you: the plant that resonates with your heart, fits your lifestyle, and brings quiet joy every time you see it.
